Our weather this week promises to be more seasonable.  Please be sure that your child brings his warm outside clothes for recess time.
     Our early Valentines' Day card exchange and treat was nice.  Thank you to those who sent the goodies!  We actually saved the popcorn for a later date. :)
     On Friday, February 28, we plan to have a Spingle Spangle Talent Show in our classroom much like the show our Superkid friends will be having in an upcoming reading story.  Each child will be given three minutes to do his or her talent.  In the past we have had magic tricks, telling of jokes, reading of poems, playing a song on an instrument, dancing, singing, etc.  It is always fun to see what the children come up with.  Parents are invited to join us that day at 1:45 until the end of the show. Help your child to plan ahead.
     We also have an opportunity to donate new or gently used books for some children in Milwaukee who would benefit from them.  If you would like to donate, send the books to school by Friday the 28th and I will be sure that they get passed along to a person involved in the collection of books.  Thank you for your help!
     Our Unit 9 spelling test is on Wednesday.  Please review the words with your child.
