This week Wednesday is school picture day.  Send your little one with his biggest smile and cutest outfit.  More information will be sent home to let you know how to order the photos you would like to have.
     Our weeks have been busy and filled with lots of learning.  Keep up the good work of looking over your child's homework.  Are you enjoying the Book Buddy stories?  This Friday we will have Show and Tell.  Please have your child keep his item in a bag or backpack to keep it secret.
      Next week Monday and Wednesday we will begin our reading to a grown up times.  Please let me know in writing if you intend to help.  We really need only 2 or 3 each day.  Arrive by 2:25.  Peek into our room.  Then the fun will begin.

HOMEWORK FOR SEPTEMBER 2 - 5

TUESDAY:
Christ Light - Read "Jesus and Nicodemus" with your child.  Use the Parent Message to learn of ways to apply the story to your lives.  Review Luke 11:28.  We will become familiar with hymn 391:1 this week.  You might enjoy singing it at home for a bedtime prayer.
Math - No homework today.

WEDNESDAY:
Reading - Practice the Unit 1 spelling list.  Our test is tomorrow morning.  I say the words and each child writes the words on paper.  You might want to try that at home a few times.
Math - Assessment day at school...no homework

THURSDAY:
Christ Light - Read "Jesus and the Samaritan Woman" with your child.  Use the prayer on the back of the sheet after discussing the lesson.  (No memory treasure today!)
